Little background:
Wifly-City is a Taiwan company specialising in producing wifi products such as adapter, antenna, amplifier, etc.

How's the counterfeit goods going-on?

In the past, immidated manufacturers copied the same model number, same adapter case and packaging box design from genuine Wifly-City products. But of course, the pcb (printed circuit board) is self-made and of sub-standard quality.

Thus forcing Wifly-City came out with anti-counterfeit hologram sticker and anti-counterfeit number checking which can be done online by consumer alone.





















With this scenario, counterfeit manufacturer turned counter attack into a 'creative way' by setting up own (fake) wifly-city web site. They provide so-called anti-counterfeit sticker and number checking, ironically, on the fake product packaging. So when consumer buy a fake product and be able to check it over fake website for its 'authenticity', they are being cheated thinking the are getting the genuine product!

Lately, counterfeit manufacturer even no longer have to copy Wifly-City products models, instead, they create their own models numbers, list it over their fake websites and sell like hot cake too! They are indeed doing brilliant (counterfeit) job as original Wifly-City can't stop them from growing bigger and stronger!


How to identify fake or genuine?

Step 1: products listed in genuine website (www.wifly-city.com.tw) are authentic products, on the contrary, for those products listed in fake wifly-city website, no doubt they are fake!

Step 2: further investigation for products models listed in genuine website, does it come with genuine anti-couterfeit sticker on the packaging? this is crucial as there are still a lot counterfeit stock that immidating genuine product in terms of same model numbers, packaging, adapter design...

Fake Wifly-City 9dbi omni-directional antenna

Little background:
Wifly-City is a Taiwan company specialising in producing wifi products such as adapter, antenna, amplifier, etc.

This year Wifly-City comes out their new 9dbi omni-directional antenna, but ironically very soon there are fake wifly-city antenna exist in market to take the advantage. Fake are made in China, mostly from ShenZhen factories.

How to identify fake or genuine Gsky wifi adapter

G-Sky high power wifi adapter is an old popular brand before other brands came out in recent years to compete. However, G-Sky good reputation also give rise to the problem of serious counterfeit products flooding into the market.

According to unofficial sources, there are over 10 factories that producing counterfeit G-sky adapter but sell to end user at genuine product pricing! Their packaging look alike, adapter also look same, the only effective identification method is by looking into the printed circuit board (yup that means u got to open up the adapter casing and look inside.)

7） Result： very little differences in terms of signal level between 14dbi panel vs 16dbi yagi. As such, tester recommended 14dbi panel for its compact size, easy handling and its dbi/price/performance ratio.
